Planted: ETH Zurich spin-off launches vegan "chicken-meat alternative" in Austria

According to the founders, Planted differs from conventional meat alternatives in two main ways: The specially developed production process ensures a unique fiber structure that many other substitute products lack. In addition, Planted relies exclusively on selected plant-based and 100% natural ingredients: Pea protein, pea fibers, rapeseed oil and water and vitamin B12. All. As the start-up assures, the ingredients come exclusively from Europe.
"Our products are 100% vegan and of course GMO-free. We also do not use any flavorings, preservatives or other additives, soy, gluten or lactose. This allows us to use technology to banish animals from our plates without having to give up our favorite dishes," says Lukas Böni, co-founder of Planted.
